2008 K12Online Conference PR Ideas

These ideas were generated during our first PR Committee meeting on Friday, September 12, 2008.

1. Leverage PR Committee members' existing networks for spreading the word (blogs, Twitter, list-servs, Facebook, Linked-In, CR2.0, and
other social networking sites.

2. Create a Press Release to be distributed to EdTech, Educational, and other news services/agencies/organizations.

3. Use the Teasers presenters are creating (YouTube and TeacherTube) to help announce K12Online.

4. Spread the word to professional organizations such as CoSN, ISTE, NASSP, NAESP, NCTM, NSF, and NTE.

5. Spread the word to colleges/universities as means to notify pre-service teachers and Colleges/Schools of Education.

6. Spread the word outside of Ed Tech network to folks who may not be aware of conference but who could benefit.
